Using tags
After creating and assigning tags to objects, you can use tags to group, find, and filter objects in your project. You can assign multiple tags to any one object.
For example, you can use tags to:
Creating a tag
You can either create tags before you assign them to objects or create tags by entering tags to Tags property of any object.
To create new tag:
- In the Library right-click Tags and select Create Tag.
- Name the tag and click OK.
To assign tags to objects, use the Name property of the tag.
To create a new tag and assign it to an object:
- In the Project select the object to which you want to assign a tag.
- In the Properties enter the name of the new tag in the Tags property and press Enter.
Kanzi Studio creates a new tag and assigns it to the object.
Assigning a tag to an object
You can either assign existing tags to objects, or create tags and assign them to the objects at the same time.
To assign an existing tag to an object:
- In the Project select the object to which you want to assign a tag.
- In the Properties click Tags button next to property Tags and select a tag from the list.
To create a new tag and assign it to an object:
- In the Project select the object to which you want to assign a tag.
- In the Properties enter the name of the new tag in the Tags property and press Enter.
Kanzi Studio creates a new tag and assigns it to the object.
